I have a friend who's big into stem cell injections-- which can cost up to $30,000 for ethical stem cells, there might be better deals or whatnot. Its not something that most people can afford! What are stems cells exactly? They are repair cells that can become like other types of cells easily. There are different types of stem cells, but your body can make them too.
One way of creating stem cells I heard the other day is, allegedly, holding your breath. Now I don't recommend this 'intermittent hypoxia' or whatever it is called, but there are definitely other benefits you can get by breathing slowly, breathing quickly, holding your breath, exhaling fast or slow; you can look up the various techniques yourself. That's not what I am talking about here.
What do I mean then? How can you get a stem cell boost? Well, I heard about this and never tried it before. But today for some reason, I felt like I should. While I was buying discount Stagg Chili for tomorrows breakfast, I grabbed a bar of 95% cacao chocolate.
This is the kind of chocolate that does not taste very good. It's incredible how much sugar you get in a standard chocolate bar, and growing up that's all we had. Snickers, Mr Big, Eat-more, Twix, etc. Milk chocolate is chocolate, and kids can't get enough!
But there is a significant amount of sugar in milk chocolate, even dark chocolate, and really people just like the sugar. They think they like chocolate bars, but they are sugar addicts.
And if you give someone who loves chocolate, even 70 or 80% cacao, they will not like it at all! It's definitely a shocker. If you have kids, don't give them milk chocolate, let them eat pure cacao and they won't be so obsessed over candy junk. Formative memories are important, and they should know that it's made from beans.
Interesting also, stories I hear about how some who pick cocoa beans don't know what the final product is, and are amazed if they ever get to try it. What a world we live in, for sure. I digress, for the purposes of this post, to preface my story.
Today I bought 95% cacao chocolate, and prepared it for stem cell stimulation! It was easy.
First, I measured slightly less than a cup and a half of water, and boiled it in a small pot on my stove. Then I broke the 80g bar in half, approximately 5 squares, and tossed them in once the water was boiling.
They didn't take long to dissolve, and I stirred it with a spoon to ensure it was evenly mixed. And that's it! I poured it in a cup, and brought it upstairs to enjoy. Now the taste, obviously was bitter and bland, but there was still that slight 'hot chocolate' after taste.
I still have the second half of the chocolate bar saved in my cupboard, for another day. Have you ever tried this for Stem Cells, or have you tried any other type of stem cell treatments?
