pueblo tlaxcalteca

in the Philippine Islands
Tlaxcaltecas accompanied Miguel López de Legazpi to the conquest of the Philippine Islands (virtually the entire crew was Tlaxcalteca), [ 29 ] [ 30][29][30][ 30 ] where they settled and mixed with the indigenous Tagala society . [ 31 ] There were also Tlaxcalan warriors accompanying the Spanish in the Battles of Cagayan , where they fought against Japanese wakō pirates . [ 32 ] [ 33 ]The legacy of the Tlaxcalans in the archipelago can be seen in many aspects, from their gastronomy (mainly tamales ) to influences in their two most widely spoken indigenous languages, Filipino and Cebuano , [ 34 ] both of which today contain a large number of Nahuatl words . Let's see if I can get the English language version.
A friend translated this. But... Yeah.

Wow. The Spanish version has a huge amount of information that I didn't find in the English language version...
However this means my relations traveled to Philippines, Japan and had contact with the greater world.
Again we were not landlocked. And this is some interesting information.
I speak the same language and we are related in many ways.
Well that's pretty crazy that so much contact happened in the ancient world that today we don't really understand how adventurous human beings truly are.
Or how far across the globe that we really have gotten throughout history.
Pretty crazy thing to learn anyway I hope everybody has an amazing day.
