Only 3 weeks since the last Weekly Zekely but they are summer weeks!
This edition, summer adventure is abound as we spend plenty of time enjoying the outdoors in the hot weather.

On the Last Episode...

...Summer had settled in and I was back racing sailboats for the first time in over 5 years!

I was lucky enough to get out again, this time in an actual race. Still figuring out this boat but we smoked the fleet in this casual cruise of a race.

Beer

Summer is one of the best seasons for beer and the last 3 weeks have been no exception. A couple beers with the boys in the studio as we rehearse for a festival show we have later this summer.

Camping, road trips and golf are screwing with the brewing schedule a little. Too much time spent enjoying summer is a pretty good problem to have and brewery dog helped see to it we have another NEIPA in the fermenter.

Speaking of dogs and beer, I sure am loving the long warm evenings of bright sky on the deck. Pretty sweet for reading the summer book and hanging with sir sniffsalot.

More Dogs

I probably have a picture of this flying dog with the same fun look on his face in every season. Summer is a little more special for him as there are more dogs in the park, water in the stream and dog pools, and his people are a little more likely to play outside with him.

We also take him camping which is a little outside of his routine but he seems to enjoy it just as much. Loves swimming at the beach too which is pretty summery.

Work

A little lighter on the work than normal as people tend to take their foot off the gas a little. These guys are in the middle of First Cut premium Canadian Hay season. Plenty of hay farmers around these parts and this client ships to the midwest and southern states.

This may not seem like work but it actually is. Another client in full swing is upscale restaurant destination and events venue Revival House is squarely in their 90 days of August. I am just here to snap pics of a full terrace for them to share on social media. Wonderful summer destination.

What Else?

A little more Jiu Jitsu. It is unfortunately easy to let summer get in the way of martial arts training and physical routine. Guilty as charged. Still, I make it here at least once per week and am looking for a solid return in September when schedules even out.

A little gardening of course! The garden is going nuts and threatening to bury me in tomatoes and sphagetti squash. The peppers are growing nicely as well and I picked one despite it not being red yet. I have been reading that picking the first fruit on a plant before it is ready inspired more growth. In addition to that, I can't wait for all the veggies to be ready and enjoy the early samples now. Should have another #HiveGarden post ready this week to bring you into my garden.

Goofing off. This is a hazy memory about 2 in the morning after a long night in the studio celebrating a birthday and singing songs. Had to stop for one last smoke before the wobbly bike ride home through the big city. A little pit stop by a tree too if you look closely.

Until Next Time...

I should probably end here before I get into the real incriminating evidence. Summer is a time for celebration of life, especially in the north where the winters are longer. Only half way down though with plenty of summer adventure left in the pipe. The next Zekely should be epic.
Thanks for sharing the summer adventure!
