Television leads us to believe that protesters clash with police is often made up of water being sprayed upon them. While left wet, they are relatively unharmed.
Unfortunately, this is not reality.
The Yellow Vest confrontations with police are much more dangerous. Flashball guns led to 22 people losing an eye while 5 have lost a hand.
These weapons are considered more humane which is, obviously, hypocritical. The Yellow Vest movement would be better served if the police were using guns to mow down protesters.
