During episode 12 we discussed Empaths and Highly Sensitive People.
We also had my empath buddy, @rodeo670 on the show to talk about his experiences as an Empath.
Empaths and Highly Sensitive People both tend to share the following traits:
- Violent media is almost unbearable
- Can easily pick up on the feelings of others
- Become easily overwhelmed and often retreat
- Highly moved by creative expression
- Overwhelmed by loud noises and chaotic environments
Empaths
There are many similarities between the Empaths and Highly Sensitive People, but the main difference is that Empaths can sense subtle energy (Prana) and actually absorb it.
Empaths internalize and absorb the emotions and energies from other people, often making it difficult to distinguish between their own feelings and the emotions of others.
They have a strong intuitive ability and can perceive physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energies.
They can often intuitively know the intentions, motivations, or feelings of others without a word.
They also tend to have a strong connection with nature, animals, and creative outlets.
There are 5 Types of Empaths
- Emotional Empaths
- Animal Empaths
- Plant Empaths
- Physical Empaths
- Intuitive Empaths
