Is this Stuff just Touchy Feely Mumbo Jumbo Bullshit ??
NOPE !! Not in the least. There have been many, many scientific tests and experiments performed over the last number of decades to prove that people can actually change the physical structures of their Brains . Which in turn can completely alter the Courses of their Lives. Some of these tests include MRI and Pet scans that show different parts of the Brain including the frontal cortex and the amygdala being affected by techniques and focused Concentration over a period time.
Conclusion
I think people make life more complicated than it is. They think Happiness is based on "things" happening in their lives ( both good and bad) and the situation they find themselves in. I believe that most people are relegated to thinking the general personality they were born with is unalterable and basically because of uncontrollable forces around them they have no control of having a happy Life or sad one.
Well, nothing can be further from the Truth. And by working on yourself over time you can actually change the physical chemistry of your Brain and be very Happy in any kind of environment, whether it be good or bad.
And Science has proven this time and time again !
Remember : Reality can be Perception. And Perception can be Reality !!
