Like the morning session, the Pimp Your Post Thursday evening session was also broadcast life on the Steem Star Network Radio with the help of @sircork of @youarehope. He’s been a great supporter of PYPT right from the beginning along with all the others who attend.
The purpose of PYPT is for Steemizens to bring along a recent post, share it with the assembled and talk about the post and their blog.

PYPT started off with @steemitgraven29 introducing us to the concept of competitive pinball during our very first show. For the evening session he explained more about how the competitive aspect of pinball works. Very interesting post.

@rodeo670 aka SaipanDamashii shared his entry for the Steemits Got Talent contest. He asks if you like his post if you’d consider supporting him in the competition by clicking through to the competition page.
Taking a look at Tag abuse on Steemit - a new project
@poeticsnake presented her post on the subject of tag abuse on Steemit. Most of us have seen this present, we look in a tag looking for posts on that subject and find sometimes, everything under the sun.
In some cases this is deliberate, it’s using a popular tag in an effort to get more attention on their post. In others it is more because they person either is new or doesn’t understand the tagging system.
@poeticsnake and @ma1neevent have made it a project to send notes to those in the introduceyourself tag who have misused it about what they are doing. @poeticsnake indicated so far the responses have been pretty positive.
The subject sparked a lively discussion on the topic as it has been a point of concern for many groups. It was also pointed out there is a difference between trying to educate others on tag usage and being tag police. @poeticsnake is aiming for the former rather than the latter.
My Raccoon Life
@rhondak shared her post about her raccoon, Glory. Well, it is more @rhondak shared how she’s become Glory’s human as Glory just decided to invite herself into @rhondak’s life. There is a video showing some of Glory’s antics.
The other point @rhondak made with this post was that it’s possible, in fact, desirable to attract outside views on posts and it can be done. She shared this particular post a Facebook group and the views are considerably higher than the number of votes.
A Dollar A Day - an update on charitable giving on steemit - why it's real for me
@pennsif shared with us an update on his personal initiative to give $1 a day to charities operating on the blockchain. The post outlines who has given to this week and what they are doing.
Constructing the Invisible [@v4vapid Psy-Op Conspiracy Contest short story]
We had a first for PYPT and for some of those attending, @negativer, came onto mic and presented a post. He’s not given to using the mic but apparently has a new puter and he tried it out.
With the recent events in the crypto markets, you’re going to be reading this story and at times wonder if it is actually fiction or truth. An excellent read.
Deck The Halls With Dennis
@molovelly takes us on another adventure with her new friend Dennis. She tells us that Rhoda is rather upset and petulant over not being able to go to Florida with @molovelly and Dennis due to air regulations. @molovelly and Dennis went off exploring Christmas decorations and displays in the neighbourhood.

“This is a poem I've been working on for a while. I started off making a poem with links to my own poems, but it morphed into something a little bit bigger. I have links to videos, wikipages, other steemit authors, other steemit posts, a few jokes, and community tags. The idea is that a reader would go through the links and check them out. And hopefully end up entertained.”
Steemit's Curious New Radio Show
@lenadr shared with us about the new title she has chosen for her soon to debut radio show on the Steem Star Network Radio, “The Cabinet of Curiosities!”. Her post includes a story about what curiousities are.

@steph4nus has been engaged in doing some curation of posts and presents four here. He suggests to the authors curated for them to leave a comment on his post and then to his readers to come back and upvote the author’s comment should their post be outside the voting window. Interesting approach.

@esaia.mystic shared her post on Congo Square in New Orleans, her connection to it and the abiding spirituality of New Orleans, in particular the spirituality of the African Americans who congregated in Congo Square and from where it got its name. An excellent read. A coffee and some relax time to enjoy this post.
Bahbahra’s Buddy Contest (week 6) 5 SBD in Prizes
@tattoodjay wasn’t sure he was going to make this session but we were delighted to see him arrive. He brought with him great news. @molovelly had won last week’s Bahbahra Buddy Contest. Congrulations @molovelly!

@thekittygirl shared her Wednesday colour challenge of Yellow and her musings on “if trees were people”. Interesting metaphors using the different trees and types of people. I did point out to her that since the Maple leaf is our official emblem, she was describing Canadians when she used the maple leaf. She didn’t really comment on that.

@sircork shared the edited version of the network premier of the Steem Star Network last Sunday with a marathon five hour show which amounted to a townhall that anyone could participate in. Witnesses, whales, dolphins, minnows.. It doesn’t matter what level you are at on Steemit, you can participate.

The after party, as often happens after PYPT, was well underway when a discussion about curation and older posts sparked @molovelly to share this three month old post in which she shows off her poetry writing talent. It’s not often I like a poem, but it seems I’ve finding myself doing so more these days.

This post wasn’t presented as part of PYPT but I’m going to share it here as I’ve been watching for it. If you are not on Discord, you need to be and this is one reason why. I’ve been using GINABot for weeks and almost go into panic on the rare occasions when she stops sending me notices.
You’ll see that she can notify you about a range of triggers making you the among the first to know breaking information on your favourite authors, topics, tags etc.
So, I’m going to wrap up this post and get it posted so I can go check the notices which have accumulated while I worked on the PYPT reports.
Another successful day of PYPT has wrapped up for this week. I really appreciate everyone who attends PYPT as you are who makes it a success. You get a chance to share your posts and learn about your fellow Steemizens.
I noticed in the logs on Friday morning, the after party went on until after midnight my time or about two hours after I went to bed. Great convo, great company.
Don’t forget, you can visit the Steemit Ramble discord at anytime. When you share the post of another Steemizen in the nominate-someones-post channel you will get access to another channel nominate-your-post. I regularly review those two channels for potential posts to share in the Steemit Ramble.
