Living under (extreme) enhanced community quarantine is a challenge especially for people living a busy and active lifestyle, working meeting lots of people, etc.
People find it boring to stay home for a day, and imagine being home for more than a week, or worst more than a month.
Thankfully, we have the internet which allows us to keep busy and the day just passes by faster. The internet makes this quarantine situation less boring. coursr, We can watch movies, keep ourselves entertained through Facebook and tiktok. Be updated and on the know with the tweets we receive and those online news. We can even have our food delivered, if possible via the internet.
And of course, we can work from home or have online jobs like blogging, or vlogging. You know what opportunity is out there to earn extra income.
The internet also allows us to finally get in touch with relatives and friends we haven't had the time to talk to when we were busy with our lives. We now have time to read, research a wide variety of subjects that interests us. Not to mention having all the time to learn a new skill through watching videos online or having online classes like learning how to cook, play an instrument, make crafts, etc.
So yes, I believe that having the internet during this difficult time is really beneficial. It keeps us sane being in this situation.
However, I see my mom and dad being contented home-quarantined without any gadgets and without THE internet.
Can you believe that? Yeah, how can they stay sane?
Well, they keep themselves busy. How? By fixing just about anything. My mom have sewn all the torn cloths in our closet. My dad, having grown a vegetable garden, have already harvested some tomatoes, eggplants and camote tops.
Mom was able to organize my little one's room, making crafts and artworks displaying it. Dad was able to maintain his vehicles, tinkering and keeping all the gears shiny like brand new. They can keep themselves busy, not depending on their gadgets and the internet.
