Here are the last questions and answers to my Mana - What Has Changed? post. Thank you for your answers @bluerobo, @magnus.harboe, @trincowski, @hafiz34, @cave-man and @eccles. My answers are the last ones in every list.

If you have done an introduction post, did the accounts commenting on your post help you or were they more like spam?
- I did sort of. Used technical stuff I found interesting. What does it help if you know my pet if most what I'm interested in is technical stuff
- A little bit of both. I think some of the comments were automated since I see the same people commenting the same messages on everyone in the introduceyourself tag. But many of the comments were real.
- Yes, they helped but I only did my introduction post after a couple of months posting. I guess most people will not wait that long.
- In my case my introduction post was ignored totally haha.
- Well my intro post has been what seems like ages ago, but the it's fair to say that it didn't get me any attention.
I did do a proper introduction post, but I was 147 days old then already, so didn't get that much attention with that post. @steemplus-bot and @partiko were the only automated answers, so pretty hard to answer to this question other than no, not that much spam. Only one spammer and that wasn't even trying to give me info. Just begging for upvotes to himself.
How does the new / trending tab look now compared to month ago?
- Rarely use it (new)
- As useless as ever (trending)
- I admit I don't use it very often, as my VP suffers enough already by voting on the people I follow. (new)
- The same. Too much paid crap, so I avoid it altogether. (trending)
- I hadn't had any interest on looking the changes on the trending post as I hardly see the trending posts.
- In the Steempeak interface that I use regularly I just automatically click on the Feed button, I uh, don't pay much attention to Trending\New tabs specifically. I have a set of tags and curators to follow and I mostly check there.
Other than few glances after I joined, I didn't really use Steemit.com's new or trending tabs because of the content so often seemed to be crap and it has all the topics in it. It looks better now, but I have to admit, I rarely do go there. I usually let myself get lost in the recommendations of the people I follow. That's much more effective way to find interesting content than new / trending tabs. Steemit.com really should add some categories like SteemPeak already has.
How does the introduceyourself tag look like?

Here's my answer to @trincowski about the the introduce tag.
I've been visiting the introduceyourself tag lots lately and I think there's something fishy there. Some people use the tag repeatedly, some use it on short posts. And then there are those who at first seem to be okay, but as I browse through several accounts, there seems to be a pattern. One photo, maybe 100 to 200 hundred words, always the similar, not the same but similar things said and none of them use more than one paragraph, bold or italic text or headlines. Bigger text. And that's odd. I would think that some would use or overuse few smileys or something. Few have a reply from cheetah who warns people of a identity thief so those are obvious. But some have only that one post. And they have not commented anyone. One rookie mistake that almost every newbie does is upvoting everyone at first ,or commenting on bots. (Ha, two mistakes.) So that's odd if real new people do no mistakes.
And I think Steemits code encourages / forces people to shortpost. Newbies can't do everything they want as often as they want and the short lifespan of good posts makes people think is one long post better cut to several posts. Makes sense. 10 times $1 of better than $1. I ranted about this in my What Would You Like To Change In Steemit? post already so go check that out.
Has upvoting with alt accounts reduced?
- Can't say
- I don't know and I don't care. Last time I complained about a whale who uses 30 or 40 accounts to upvote his crappy posts and comments, the guy flagged all of my posts and comments and reduced my reputation to -11, in a single minute.
- I frankly have no idea, that's probably something that only our resident STEEM stats folks could answer.

Generally I have nothing against selfvoting. If it's not excessive. And I think the smaller the account, the more I tend to not care about the self votes. Upvoting with alt accounts is shady, so if someone selfvotes, it would be better to do it with the same account. But I do get it why people do it with alt accounts. Because of the profits. Money. Because Steemit allows you to do that. But I do think upvoting others instead of yourself is a better option. I don't think it's a good thing that Steemit code allows selfvoting, but on the other hand if selfvoting is not tolerated at all, that only leads to generating alt accounts. And if you think about this selfvoting a bit further, delegating SP to a third party so that they would upvote you, no matter what, isn't that also selfvoting?
So here's my answer to @hafiz34's question.
Soon I don't have 5000 SP anymore, so then every SP I have counts. I know that @steem-ua has a rank system and I know it not only upvotes posts, it also comments and tries to help.
But I don't agree with it on the posts it upvotes. Shouldn't it upvote on the best post? With 25 SP it upvotes me once a week and in my opinion it doesn't even upvote my best post in that week. And those who have delegated more, get an upvote even if their posts aren't that great. But that's only my opinion.
One thing is also that if I don't pay bidbots to upvote my posts, why would I pay @steem-ua? People keep telling me that it's different, but is it that different? One pays in SP to get upvotes. That's the basic idea isn't it? Unless it has changed lately. So that's a matter of principle for me.
I have nothing bad to say on those who use it or the original idea of it and you should definitely try it and make up your own mind if it's for you. :)
Do you get lots of upvotes from small accounts that do nothing else than upvote and you don't know where those come from? Has that changed after hard fork 20?

- Not really, the only commentless upvotes I got are presumably from a contest. I've barely gotten any attention in the pre-HF20 days, so I can't say.
I'm not sure about the before and after hard fork 20 on my behalf. I do get some upvotes from small accounts and what's peculiar is that those upvotes are given before 15 minutes has passed. It think I get those because of the amount of SP that I have and because of that people might think that I get large payouts. And that's not it at all. My delegated SP does not correlate at all with the amount of payouts I get. That amount is about the same as before hard fork 20. The reward is usually under $1 with few exceptions, that tend to stay under $5.
What are the things you like in Steemit?
- There is a lot to like. Interactions are fun and I learn a lot.
- I like the idea of getting rewarded for posting good content from the start. When I was doing Instagram it took a long time before good content get noticed and you rarely get payed for your content itself. I like that you can get rewards for your content instead of how many ads or affiliate links you put up.
- The incredible quality of posts, when compared to Twitter, Google Plus and Facebook.
- Early on, I had this hope that I would be popular some day. Now I am more than happy because I have a hobby because of steem and popularity is a fiction of my imagination too. So doesn't really matter LOL.
- It's the only social site that I can bare to spend time on but the lengthy explanation on that topic is in my intro post which I've linked above, so I'll just bow out here :p
I love the fact that people are "forced" to interact with each other. If they want to be heard and seen. And I love the fact that people really do mostly share here entirely different things than for instance in Facebook. I love that Steemit doesn't have an algorithm to think for me what I would like to read. And of course I love it that Steemit's idea lies on top of a blockchain and that decentralization is the word of the year and maybe even this century. I would not be here otherwise! And now that I am here, I absolutely love all the inspiration and ideas that Steemit has in it. Because of the people who are here. If I ever get any kind of ideas about anything, I better check Steemit first. Someone surely has thought about my idea before me and has posted it to Steemit. And although I think: "How can it be? I only just now thought of it!" I do really love all the possibilities and ideas that Steemit has and the people in it. Without Steemians, there wouldn't be any Steemit! I am hooked!
