The german tag #mittwochsquickie brings, you guessed it every wednsday a new topic where you supposed to write for 10 min your thoughts about it.
This wednsday it was was chances

From last chances to second chances over equal chances
As my head is spinning about crypto for over a year now, of course I think about chances and crypto first.
Second chance?

Some people say they are rare. Others say you create them your own, which I like more as it gives you more control over your life.
About 1 year ago many people thought they missed their chance to get rich with crypto and as we found out later they did. So did the people who rode it all the way up and down again like myself.
The market in 2018 was...difficult to say at least.
First it was chinese new years, then it was the SEC and so on. There was always a reason why the prices kept falling.
The crypto market is still young and changing all the time. We, or better said, people who are way smarter than me, will continue to test things. What will work and what not is not yet definied. Also what we need and what we can do with all that blocks and chains is by far not settled yet.
Reading that 6 ETFs are already denied this year might sound bearish but actually you have to see how much interest is in this thing if already 6 ETFs got denied and more to come.
Timing to buy the bottom is pure luck. But you probably can`t deny that getting BTC for around 4.5k$ was something many of us doubted we will ever see again. So this is a second chance to get cheap Bitcoin.
We are moving from pure speculation to something with real value as the fundamentals are getting better and better and we received a lot of news which would have the market jump in the mania even more.
“Sometimes there's just no way to hold back the river.”
Second Chances and Steemit
Engagment is low, the mood seems bad and posting seems to be barely worth it?
At least that is my reality and what I can see in my feed I am pretty sure I am not alone.
Despite what the $/STEEM price is doing, 1 STEEM equals 1 STEEM.

Actually it is not space you need to press but this chance is below your fingertips on your keyboard as well.
I remember when the big boys had 100+ comments under their posts. Do you think it was easy to get any kind of recognition then? Do you think it is easier now when there are around 20 comments?
In Steemit we have seen a bunch of development as well. @Steemmonsters is one which comes to mind for example. We lost dlive but it got replaced quickly by @vimm. We still have @dtube. We have @dsound and many more I forgot or don`t know of yet.
How Steemit will look like in a year or two? I can`t tell you. Probably many different frontends and dAPPS.
Who will require Steem and maybe you can lease them some for some good returns. Maybe we will still be blogging mabye not. Maybe a lot of us got chased away when more and more professional bloggers come in.
But please keep in mind this is very focused about the financial aspect. Steemit can be more than this. I never attended a Steemfest and I don`t know how much rubbing shoulders with the right (more SP) people is going on there but I am sure for many it is not about that.
I have met a couple of Steemians in real life and it was always cool and I am looking forward to meet every one of them again.
Heck, @betterthanhome I met in 3 different countries already and @lichtblick invited me in his home and with @buttcoins we had a bbq and the little ones became friends and I have an invetation to south america which I plan to follow.
Last Chance?

The crypto projects which will be still around in 2020 will be the ones who did not only survive but were still able to thrive in times like this and so are the bloggers.
In the crypto space there are a million of second chances and I believe it will be like this for a while but one day, one of those second chances will be our last chance.
