I joined the Steemit blockchain community sometime around January this year which is 2018. When I was introduced to steemit through a sister of mine I was kind of surprised by the thought of a community where one writes and post and get paid, especially with cryptocurrency. Steemit for me after I joined has had its rough paths, it also has its easy paths too. I would say it is not as bad as those who have given up on it for the lack of upvotes think it is. Steemit is one of the beautiful things that has happened to me, it has made me realise that there is more to a writer within me. I could actually get to be referred to as a prolific writer when with constant dedication I post beautiful articles. Steemit has made me to meet several persons not in person, but through online discussions which has been very great, I have made several friends that their numbers are hard to mention. I have joined several communities and I must say that the experience has been fun.
One beautiful thing that has happened to me on Steemit is being a member of the @reachout Steemit community. I joined the @reachout community on the discord channel through an invitation by @akintunde who is an admin and a friend to everyone. I can say the members and admin in general have been fun loving persons. There seems to be a lot of encouragement for beginners on steemit in order that they can have a solid foundation of the workings of Steemit. The @reachout community shows this love to members by constantly upvoting their posts at all times which surely is an encouragement. I can remember that there are times that those who are in charge of the administration of the @reachout community often urge members to try to increase the quality of their posts and not the quantity. This is a step in the right direction because it helps members to know that there is more to posting than meets the eye. There is the consideration of quality posts by the big whales who are in the Steemit community, this actually is why members of the @reachout community are being urged to make quality posts.
@reachout also encourages her members through the introduction of contests open to members to actually make them know that their efforts in the steemit blockchain is seen and highly welcome. @reachout recently ran a contest a few weeks back which was open to members of the community to participate as an encouragement. The giveaway for the contest were seven Keyboards and seven OTG connectivity to its members who have phones that are OTG enabled. Stated there in the rules of the contest was that @reachout members were to make a post in which they were to mention the names of their phones, specifications and a picture of the phone in question. Actually I thought within myself that this was the joke of the century because I never believed that what was to be given away would be true. I put in for the contest with my mind closed against the possibility of being one of the seven winners. To my surprise I was one of those who won one of the seven Keyboards and OTG connectivity.

I got a message from the beautiful @prettyjules who was one of the organisers of the contest and at the same time an admin on the @reachout discord channel. She told me to send in my details so that my winnings could be sent to me wherever I was. I did this and I got the package alongside with that of a fellow Steemian and @reachout member who won one of the Keyboards and OTG's too. We both stay in the ancient city of Ile-Ife in Yoruba land and it was a surprise to know that the person in Iamthegray is a very well known person to me. We met the next day when he came to collect his package and it was quite a wonderful thing to see and interact with a fellow Steemian face to face.

This piece is written to express my gratitude to the @reachout community and eturnerx for their support towards me as a member of the community. Through the community I have met and made several friends on Steemit and this for me is a very important factor in our day to day activities on Steemit. Man as a social being is defined and conditioned by the society that he is in an interaction with. I can successfully assert here without running into a contradiction that @reachout certainly is a family and society whose interaction spurs me into writing beautiful posts. My interaction with members has gone beyond that of just being ordinary members, we are friends and this is the difference that makes man to be loved and cherished. It is when man has the love of those who are around him that he truly can flourish.
This is a big thank you to all members of the @reachout community for their worthy character and composure towards one another. My special gratitude goes to the sponsor of @reachout, @eturnerx for his great support of the community. More grease to his elbows in his endeavors. I would like to express my gratitude to @akintunde for introducing me to the @reachout steemit community. I am also grateful to @prettyjules and other organisers of the contest for their undying love and support towards members through the contest that they ran. Their upvotes for the posts that I manage to deliver from time to time is very much a thing to be grateful for. I would also like to express my gratitude to @bleepcoin for his selfless and undying support towards the members of the @reachout community through upvotes. All sponsors of the @reachout community are acknowledged for their support of minnows within the Steemit blockchain.
