Audible.com is an Amazon website, service, application where you can buy audio recordings of your favourite literature, read by superb voice actors.
Why Audible?
The app makes it easy to read more, because you can carry a thousand books in the palm of your hand, or a single jacket pocket, onboard your phone. But also Audible.com makes reading easier because you have some great orator, who performs professionally, read you these amazing works of art, and they accentuate all the best ways, in all the key moments, in a way that I personally find my imagination does not.
Also if you are like me maybe you find that you get sleepy when you start to read a book. I'm not sure why, but I always get tired, immediately after I open a great book, and regardless of whether I had a great sleep the night before.
So, Audible.com is a great resource if you love literature but struggle with reading like me.
Cost and Benefits:
If you are interested Audible you should know that it has a monthly service charge, $13.95 per month. But that price includes one free book per month. And also if you are new to Audible, they will give you one free token to start out, and give it a try.
Also you can listen to 5 minutes of any book they sell, to see if you enjoy the reader's voice, cadence, etc. And one more great feature is that if for any reason you do not like book you can return it and get a new free book in exchange.
Not bad right? Maybe give it a try!
Last month I read Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote for Chaos, and it was an excellent read, about psychology, reason and faith. This month I just downloaded C.S. Lewis' Essay Collection and Other Short Pieces, I can't wait to get into it.
CS Lewis: Essay Collection & Other Short Pieces:
If you do give it a try let me know what book you picked, and maybe how you liked it. I'm always looking for a great read.
Hope you enjoyed the content, and hope you have an awesome weekend. Thank you for your time and attention, take care and God bless.
