Today I am Reporting on What I Read Yesterday
I chose to do my reading at night, after all my electronics were turned off.
I read: "The Story of A Mother" by Hans Christian Anderson. I am not quite ready to read another book, as I am still digesting Inside Out & Back Again. It's like that with poetry books, you think you are done reading, but then the words keep coming back like aftertaste, and you realize you are not ready to take on something else.
That's why I opted for a short story from the same book I have been reading to my daughter from. She's loving reading the "real" fairy tales. And I was happy to bump into a new short story that I hadn't had the pleasure of reading before.
Its a story about a Mother, the death of a child, unselfish love, and brusque realizations. The Mother in the Story literally cried her eyes out, and had more clear vision because of it. She also traded her youthful long dark hair for the white hair of an elderly woman.
Thank you for taking the time to browse my reading log today, read this post to learn more about my "Reading Log" project.
