Oops. Somewhere along the line I missed a day. MY first day was January 4th, which makes this post Day 9. The posts are always put up the day after.
Which means yesterday's post about how my first week went was actually after 8 days, not 7. I guess that's what dealing with a severe cold can do.
So, to recap Day 8, or Friday, January 12th, I did little towards my personal plan. Part of that were the demands of randomly needing to care for a person struggling with age issues. On more demanding days like this one, it can derail my intended activities. But I'm committed to helping this person out, and don't mind taking the hit when they need support.
The other bad news is that when there are haphazard interruptions to my day, I become more susceptible to eating poorly, and that was certainly the case. Certain comfort foods are real addictions for me, and I struggle to stay away from them. Dairy. Chocolate. Baked goods. These all affect my body in undesirable ways, and if I eat a little, I'll eat a lot. Not good.
But the sun will rise tomorrow, the day will spring with hope, and I'll start again. I'm no where near perfect, and grant myself grace for my foibles.
Until then.
