Lately, I've started to feel a heaviness settle in, something I can’t quite shake off no matter how much I push through my daily tasks. It’s not about disliking what I do. In fact, I still feel aligned with my purpose and goals. But even the most passionate flame dims when it’s left burning too long without pause.
I’m coming to terms with the fact that what I really need now is not more motivation but restoration. A few days to breathe, unwind, and allow my body and mind to catch up with everything I’ve been carrying. That doesn’t mean I’ve lost my drive. It just means I’m human.
As much as we talk about discipline and consistency, we often forget that rest is part of the formula. I’ve been so focused on showing up and delivering that I forgot to check in with myself. And that original spark, the one that brought me into this work with so much energy, is quietly asking to be rekindled.
So I’ll allow myself the space to pause. Not to escape but to return stronger. Maybe with a playlist that soothes instead of speeds me up, maybe with an evening walk instead of a late-night sprint at my laptop. I know that once I’m rested, the motivation will follow.

So here is to taking that intentional pause, not to quit the journey but to breathe before the next stride.
