For the past thirty-one years I was employed as a Parole Agent for the State of AR Community Corrections. Devoted to helping people change their lives, helping with drug addiction, lack of employment, lack of acceptance back into their communities. Most of the time it was a rewarding job, but we all had our days. After a heated argument with my Supervisor back in July 2016, and my disapproval of a poor decision on her part, I retired. Probably should have stuck it out, and hung in there, but after 30 yrs of the same ole administrative BS, I left the service. I'll share with some of the stupid moments I encountered while trying to get criminals to change their ways to become a productive member of society.
I certainly learned criminality and why people do some of the things they do, but I also found myself .
