Hello everyone!
Last time I wrote something here I recovered from some family-issue-induced mental and emotional stress, after that I got entangled into Philippine political discussions and arguments (far from enjoyable experience), and now I'm occupied with getting certificates for Machine learning courses, after which my plan is to get onboard an AI job.
Allow me to flex for a while 😅
Macro environment has been messy these days, short-term and medium-term expectations aren't easy to make sense of, even experts are getting confused and there are plenty of arguments. Long-term trends I do have ideas, but I think I've some more interesting ideas to post, and that would be about early retirement.
Bitcoin and crypto overall are affected by nasty macro conditions, but still bullish in the long run:
So in that series I'll be taking you with me through my 1 year journey of early retirement, the reasons and motivations behind it, the preparations I did, what went right, what went wrong, and how to do better next time (as obviously I'm planning to go back to the labor market).
My rough idea of retirement here, taken in Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines.
Tbh I haven't scoured through peakd's and LeoFinance's FAQ, but, I'll make time for those after I'm done with my certifications. Earliest, in 2 weeks' time maybe. Just writing my thoughts here as some kind of personal accountability, and as a reminder to myself as well.
See you next time! Here and in your communities/pages/posts/blogs!
