I hate to admit, but I was falling behind on my reading comprehension when I was young, very young. My mother, like the parents in this commercial, thought getting me an ADAM computer would help. It did. When I became fascinated with my ADAM, I wanted to read all there was about it and computers in general. If there was a magazine article about computers, I had to read it. If there was a book about computers, I had to read it. I must have gone through the SmartBASIC manual several times when I was learning how to program. Though I didn't have a learn-to-read program for my ADAM, just having it made me a better student. A short while later, tests concluded that my reading level was two grades up. My mother was proud.
