The Game Boy is where the Pokemon video games got their start. Pokemon Yellow was a slightly enhanced version of Pokemon Red and Blue and preceded the release of Gold and Silver. Yep, there were a lot of Pokemon games.
In Pokemon Yellow, the player has the opportunity to catch 151 Pokemon. Pokemon Yellow has slightly better graphics than the previous games in the series and also starts you out with Pikachu. But other than these and a few other slight differences, it isn't significantly different from its predecessors. Despite this, it sold very well and is considered to be one of the best Game Boy games. It was also heavily marketed. It was released to coincide with the first Pokemon movie and was released with a special Pokemon Yellow version of the Game Boy.
