My first post!
Hello Hive!
From joining Decentraland to Splinterlands and subsequently HIVE - this was a journey I would have cancelled even though I had reached the destination already, had this been any other community, or any other project or platform.
First off, Splinterlands is on another level (it shouldn't be categorized in play-to-earn as this just undermines the quality the project as a whole) - it takes more than just selecting a team to battle - there's so much involved. I was struggling to grasp it - still am.
Secondly, HIVE and HIVE Engine; then there's HIVE-Signer with all those keys...
HOWEVER : • the Splinterlands community - be it Discord, Twitch, any forum - the members are the real definition of a "community". The fact that they take time to guide a newbie, or delegate a few cards to allow him some power and more wins, or even doing friendly battles one after the other for hours...I would not think that a community of this nature exists and put it down to "they love the game - Splinterlands. They must be passionate, hence the friendly experience."
• BUT........then I start exploring HIVE - trying to figure out what all these keys are for - what are votes, posts, upvotes, curations etc. but then I discover HIVE blog and so many other means of information on various platforms that is really simple to understand - step by step. Even saw a member who mentions each newcomer's username as a welcome to the community.
Further exploring HIVE, I find that it's accomplished so much more than other blockchains and continues to develop and grow the wonderful community I've come to experience here. This is just a post as an introduction and letting y'all know what a great community this platform has.
Thank you!
