There'll be a time for girl bands and boy bands will retire because of adulthood. Some members of groups like One Direction and Girls' Generation are still active in their solo music careers after retiring as boybands or girlbands. What's for the next generations? Nothing, because without them there won't be another One Direction or Girls' Generation.

From another viewpoint, girl bands like JKT48, AKB48, and other sister groups always have a new generation to continue their step. JKT48 is a sister group of AKB48 (Japan) in Indonesia. JKT48 already closed its audition for Generation 12th on September 30th, 2023. Meanwhile, AKB48 is still on schedule for an audition of its 19th generation until November 19, 2023.

Of course for new generations, there'll be old fans who will make a difference between the new and old generations. It's good to already have a fanbase but the pressure to keep fans exists too.

From their times on stage, fans are coming up with a new word to change "retired" as it is kinda bad for them. A new word for someone who will be continuing their life to adulthood from girl/boy bands is "Graduation". Their life is still long and they can continue their step to other or stay in the music industry like personnel from One Direction and Girls' Generations. They already graduated from girl/boy bands to something more adult-like.
I don't know why but I like something like this because the songs from 1st Generation are still played now with new generations. It's like continuing to new generations. There won't be old songs as they'll become new and new again. For others who already graduated like One Direction and Girls' Generation, I just hope their songs still continue to be covered by new musicians too. Human is a short life species, but music will have a long life if someone continues to sing it.
