The auction we are analyzing took place Thursday Jan 25 ~ 8:20pm
The winning votes according to steembottracker:
Notice someone dropped a 1.5SBD bid in the last 30 seconds.
Now over to steemworld to check out our upvote.
Here is one picture with all 3 pieces of info together so we can compare some numbers.
You will notice in the next picture that I have crossed off the USD so as to not confuse us when we do our analysis.
1.52 X 0.75 = 1.14 back to me in author rewards
1.14 X 0.50 = 0.57 back in SBD
.57 / 6.55 per steem = 0.087 at the price of steem when bid posted
Compare the red above. Steembottrackers says I should get a .67 SBD bid and our actual was 0.57 So the steembottracker number here is wrong. I will have to analyze this again to see if it always happens or if this was an anomaly.
Let's check the ROI calculator for this bot.
Original bid X calculated ROI
0.50 X 1.0102= 0.5051 the 0.5051 This says we were supposed to get a .5051SBD after curations we did better.
In conclusion the orange, % of sneaky-ninja's vote power, above match but none of the other numbers match reality.
WORD OF CAUTION THERE IS ANOTHER ACCOUNT NAMED SIMILAR
Positives: Sneaky-ninja will refund bids that aren't accepted. @sneaky-ninja claims to have a black list of users that spam, sneaky-ninja keeps their bid and won't vote for them.
I also like that @sneaky-ninja has posted RULES
Negatives: This is another really popular bot that people like to drop bids on in the last minute so it can go from profitable to not quick! Another account named very similar so make sure you get the right account. @sneakyninja was nice enough to return my SBD but results may vary and I wouldn't could on it. The real bid bot is @sneaky-ninja DON'T forget the -
Fine print:
This information was accurate at time of posting, but there is a possibility that the bot owner has changed their code in between when I wrote this and you read it. I will try to keep these up to date but do your diligence before bidding.
I will give you the caution that whenever you use bid-bots you should be prepared to loose part of your investment as people can vote after you and bring your share of the rewards pool down. Always check how the bot performed last round, compare it to how they paid out before you bid and be prepared to potentially loose your investment.
