This will be the first non-bidbot upvote service I will review. I want to stop you here and explain that non-bidbot upvote services look like all kinds of different things. Some are just computer code that runs a specific ratio based on the amount you send in memo until the SP goes to 80% then auto rejects and some are actual humans on the other end that you may have to wait a few hours to get your upvote. Remember if they are humans be patient, they have a life too.
The @treeplanter account has been around since June 2017.
I am unsure of the max age of posts for this service. I normally send less the 3.5 day posts here.
Accepts either SBD or STEEM, with a minimum bid of 0.10.
Will upvote comments or posts.
It is VERY noisy and will leave a comment after you use it's services.
No advertised way to reach them for customer service.
Their outside of Steemit website to see how the project is doing can be seen here.
This service claims it prefers you to use their services on someone else post. A gift or tip so to speak, which is great for those of us that sometimes run out of upvotes but would love to show our support to an author. A review of their steemworld log shows that rule isn't as important to them.
If you have never used a non-bid bot service the first few times can feel a little weird. Sending your money to someone you have never met before in hopes that they will upvote your post. I have put together some steps to help determine whether a service is doing as they promised.
First I goto their steemworld.org/@username and look around
Circled in red you will see the current vote worth if they vote you at 100% right now.
Circled in blue is the amount of SP that this account owns.
Circled in green is the amount of SP that is delegated from another account to this account. This is borrowed SP that can disappear at any time
Circled in purple is the % of votes that this account cast for itself. I prefer to support accounts that have a <10% self support.
If you are interested you can click the buttons on the right to see who gives the most votes to this account and who receives the most votes from this account.
Next I cruise down to check the last memo against what the vote was. Circled in red is the memo that directs @treeplanter to the post or comment and also is the price of upvote. Circled in purple is the corresponding vote for that memo. @treeplanter advertises a 2x the donation upvote. When I compared them the number in purple the number in purple was greater than 2X as advertised.
So I sent off a request for a friend's post
Note that the percent is a little different here then the normal 75%. I used this guide to learn that because the vote was done before 15 mins @treeplanter forfeits 50% of their reward. 75+12.5= 87.5
If this had been the bid after 30 mins the SBD ROI would still be negative but the overall return would have been closer to 3.5% instead of the 5.75%
Positives: Is a human so probably doesn't upvote spam? Comments and posts. Cool way to upvote a friends post and have a tree planted.
Negatives: Noisy. Actual ROI is low.
Fine print:
This information was accurate at time of posting, but there is a possibility that the bot or account owner have changed their code or practices in between when I wrote this and you read it. I will try to keep these up to date but do your diligence before bidding or sending money.
I will give you the caution that whenever you use bid-bots you should be prepared to loose part of your investment as people can vote after you and bring your share of the rewards pool down. Always check how the bot performed last round, compare it to how they paid out before you bid and be prepared to potentially loose your investment.
