thought I had a very interesting conversation with Ruger customer service today and it was all bad.
Apparently we have some issues.
the rifle shoots roughly two and a half feet to 3 ft left at 100 yards.
Which is an extremely poor build. Especially for a rifle that's marketed with a 2/3 of an MOA accuracy rating with good ammo and you doing your part.
So had to be original. Including the 3 mags. Full gun. Which I don't have any of the original accessories including the trigger muscle device stock and also the grip and charging handle..
Which we're also talking a pretty expensive aftermarket charging handle that was destroyed by this gun.
Blames the issue on the light laser trigger grip scopes or stock. Somehow it cannot be any part of the responsibility of manufacturing it has to be one of the aftermarket parts that are making it shoot weird.
Will be charged for the rectification of the Issue. Oh yes that's right I'm going to get charged for shipping as well as quite a bit of other stuff. Whatever it takes for them to fix this I have a feeling I'm going to eat quite a huge amount of this cost.
However now I'm left with sour taste in my mouth for this company that is usually renowned for its customer service.
And of course then there's this wonderful ad that promises reliability and apparently an exceptional package.
well the easiest way to fix this would be for Ruger to overhaul its customer service department.
Getting one of these very high-end and flagship models should come with the appropriate customer service support.
Yep I'm super excited to figure all this out.
it would be a very appropriate thing for them to just send me a new upper receiver that falls within specifications and I can just slap mine into their box and a fix a sticker to the box to send it back.
However after buying laser bore cider and confirming that it works exceptionally well on multiple 308 I have discovered that mine definitely is a low quality build.
And there's no way that the barrel could be bent as it is a heavy contoured with fluting barrel. so this thing is extremely stiff and contributes to the extreme high accuracy.
Which I will say it definitely does print very well on the neighboring Lane Target.
My only issue is that this shoots about 6 in to the left at 20 ft which adds up.

Well I'm trying to discuss this with a customer service representative.
Find apparently for me to ship this off we now have a huge issue.
Let alone the poor customer service.
Well I don't know what to do myself other than to play the cards that I was dealt and maybe I can figure something out on the fly.
Well we will just be patient and see what's all going on.
Gold mining is never anything easy so I'm just expecting these problems to occur.
And honestly enough within the super short distance but I think I can manage a shooting with an offset.
However it just absolutely really sucks to have such a poor showing from Ruger.
Especially on a flagship model such as this.
And it's also a shame that Ruger really flopped on the quality control.
The more that I'm looking into the situation the more I'm seeing how prevalent of an issue they had with these rifles and a lot of people got really good ones however they were quite a huge amount of lemons being released.
Well we will see what all ends up coming about with this situation.
apparently I have to have a backup plan or three in place.
This was really unexpected. And really a huge shame.
I'm going to avoid buying anymore ruger products. Shame as I was a huge fan until today...
