I just finished a 5.533km run that lasted about 0hh:33mm:42ss !

Firstly I should say that I did not manage to track my whole run. My phone played up and so I got a bit over half of it I think. I decided to take a gentle run over the fields to test out my hip that has been acting up a bit. It was actually a bit better. The trouble started when I decided to take a different turn from usual down a farm track. That led to a road with no pavement that I followed for a while. I discovered a scrapyard along there and it looked like a small airfield too. I was heading back in the vague direction of work and eventually came to another farm track that looked to be going the right way. Unfortunately that proved to be a dead end. I had the option of going back the way I came, but I thought I could take a shortcut across a wheat field. The field was bigger than I expected. The crop was up to my shoulders and I had to follow the tractor tracks to make it easier. After a long time I came out on another farm track that brought me back to Stevenage, although I was a bit further up the road than usual. I am not one for panicking, but I had had some concerns about how long this would all take and if I had an accident I would have been a bit stuck. I need to be less adventurous. It all turned out okay. My run is a bit erratic as I walked some bits when trying to find a route. A foray around a fenced off area near the dead end did not turn up any other tracks. I will not be trying this route again unless I can find other ways to get back.
Stay safe people.
