Today I ran with my colleague for the first time in a while. It's cooled down here, so it's bearable to run in the middle of the day. We ran up the appropriately named Six Hills Way to the Fairlands Valley Park with its boating lake. I think this is the first time I've seen people fishing there. Also saw a family of ducks and a load of geese. From the lake we took the quiet back roads for our return. We made a brief stop at the outdoor gym for some extra exercise.
It was a good 6km run. I think I kept up a slightly better pace than I would alone. We had a bit of a chat, but I was working hard enough that I struggled to speak much.
Of course its a big match for England in the world cup tonight. I plan to be at the pub, but it's our acoustic jam night and we're going to play in the garden as the pub will be very busy.
