As usual on a Wednesday I went out for a run. I took the country route to get away from the traffic. It was all going pretty well and I was feeling good. I was listening to the podcast of Click from the BBC World Service, that I've listened to for many years. They had a piece on a New Zealand project to map hazards. At that moment I misjudged a kerb and fell flat. So I got a bloody knee and scraped my hands. This is only my second serious fall when running, but at least nothing is broken. I'll get over it.
I still managed a reasonable 5km time, but I walked most of the last few hundred metres.
I will take more care in future. It's probably good that I don't run any faster.
