It was raining when I set out this morning, but not too cold. I was doing my usual loop. The training programme wanted 8.5km at a slow pace.
I did get wet feet getting through some of the puddles.
As usual I ran quicker than required. I'm finding just over 6 minutes per km kilometre comfortable. I'd like to get slightly under that, but if I could maintain this pace for the half marathon next month I'll be happy.
Crazy max speed again. Just not possible for me.
The rain lessened as I went on and it's stopped now. I saw a couple of other runners out there and a lady I often see race-walking. I'd love to know what events she does.
I met my target of 3 runs over the bank holiday weekend plus a home workout. I ran about 67km last month, but I missed some runs due to the weather. This month should be nearer 80km. I know some people do that every week, but this feels about right for me. I do need to get new running shoes before the race.
Run free. Support #runningproject and #runforsteem. I know I speak out against paid votes, but @isotonic will give you a vote and it supports the Steemit running community. It doesn't do crazy $100 votes like some. I've nothing against minnows getting a boost, but let's aim for good content and not just dash for cash.
I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
