Well, budget tracking is very important for financial growth.
Not everyone can do it, and not everyone knows they have to do it. It might be one of the biggest problems a family needs to tackle, from a financial stand point.
I use an online tool to do it. It's called Mint (From Intuit - if you ever filed you taxes with them - I hadn't)
At first I was a bit scared to login to all my online banking accounts, but their security method of not storing the password itself put me at ease.
Now, I have all my accounts, incoming paycheck, loans, credit cards in one place. A one stop shop, and I make sure I go there at least once a day, to confirm everything is just as I expect, that bills are paid on due - or before, and that no strange transactions appear.
If you have as many credit cards as I do, it's hard to monitor them all in different financial institutions, with different websites, and if I want to add my spouse's credit cards, the trouble becomes double.
My recommendation: Give it a try, you might love it like I do.
