Today I want to show you the valuable that is the word of God and why we should value it
"Is not my word like fire, says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the stone?" (Jeremiah 23:29). The Word of God is similar to a fire that causes human reasoning to vanish like smoke. Our arguments can not subsist before the divine Word. Biblical statements act like hammer blows in our conscience, awaken us and overcome our hearts, to lead us to repentance and conversion.
"If anyone is a hearer of the word but not a doer of it, he is similar to the man who considers his natural face in a mirror. Because he considers himself, and goes away, and then forgets what he was like "(James 1: 23-24). Like a mirror, the Bible shows us what we are, people full of imperfections. It clearly shows our need to be saved from God's judgment. When we become aware of this, we should not go away on the pretext that this verdict does not suit us, but rather respond to the call of the Lord Jesus: "Repent, and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:15).
As a seed has in itself the strength to develop a new life, the Word of God creates a new and eternal life in everyone who accepts Jesus Christ. "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God that lives and abides forever" (1 Peter 1:23).
"Do good to your servant; let him live, and keep your word "(Psalm 119: 17).
