Hy!
Steemit friends!
I am going to describe the difference b/w distance and displacement.
DISTANCE:
- The length of path b/w two points is called distance b/w those points
- Distance is represented by magnitude and unit without considering the direction.
- Distance is scalar quantity
- Formula of distance is
S=Vt
Where S is distance,V is speed and t is time
DISPLACEMENT:
- The shortest distance b/w two points is called displacement
- Displacement is represented by both magnitude and direction
- Displacement is a vector quantity
- Formula of displacement is
d=vt
where d is displacement,v is velocity and t is time
Thanks...
