I know I'm going to come off as crazy, but here me out -- early this morning (sometime after midnight March 7, 2018), I noticed an unusual light "standing" still next to the moon.
At first, I thought it was a helicopter, but the average helicopter can only hover at a maximum height of 8,000 to 10,000 feet, which is really not that high. This, however, was way up in the sky, normally where you would find airplanes. For sure, it wasn't a star, since it was obviously too close to be one.
The lights hovered next to the moon motionless for about half an hour. Finally, the moon flew away (our moon is really quick!), and the light was gone as well.
Still, I can't help but wonder...what the heck was this thing? Any ideas?
