Living in eastern and southern Africa about 2.5-1.7 million years ago, ergasters are separated from erectus (due to a number of differences they have (such as the volume of the brain and the shape of the temple bones, or thinner bones). Ergaster allegedly has a height of 1.89 meters, with a brain volume ranging from 700-1000 cc. Has a prominent face, a low forehead, and teeth smaller than habilis.
