From a recent post of @sauravrungta, I am inspired to shed light on another side of the story with "super bugs".
Introduction
First, let's start with the idea of germs, bacteria, bugs, superbugs, etc. The popular thought, which is continuously being promoted in the medical world, is that these micro entities are harmful to the human body. Considering this is human language we are dealing with, these statements always have forms of truth in them as well as misleading, distracting information. Where does this concept of health come from? It comes from long, long ago.
Over 500 hundred years ago, there was a group of people in the Western European society that believed the cause of disease was "evil spirits inside the body". There were other dogmatic practices to "cure" these diseases, such as placing leeches on people's cuts. The idea was that the leeches would suck the evil out of the person's blood. Sounds silly, right?
In this 21st century, there are groups of people in the North American and European societies that believe the cause of disease is "evil bugs inside the body". There are other dogmatic practices to "cure" these diseases, such as giving people toxic placebos that only cover up symptoms. The idea was that the "symptoms" themselves were the root cause of the problem. Sounds silly, right?
