I was told by a friend that I should get a Hive account and post some videos to 3Speak so I am taking that advice. Well, so far just the first part.
A little about me.
I used to play video games and recently figured out that they were either causing my depression or they were where I was trying to kill time through my depression. Either way, they sure as hell weren't helping with my depression.
About a month ago I had a panic attack after several months of impending doom over money. It was the strangest thing. My business was starting to take off but I couldn't afford for it to grow. That probably seems weird but I had just signed a couple of service agreements with companies that can take from 45 and 90 days to pay their invoices.
My problem is that I have to pay my staff and fuel, etc right now. I also can't borrow the money from the bank because I haven't got two years of financials and being self employed doesn't count to them, even though I have plenty of equity in the house and stuff.
So I had a panic attack and immediately decided to quit playing video games or any other time wasting I was doing. (I'm looking at you, Discord.)
As you will see in my intro video, when I put it up, I have a ton of old electronics to deal with and a friend said that I should scrap it and make a little money instead of throwing it all out and getting nothing. I then started to research scrapping and decided I could do it when there wasn't anything going on.
The problem with researching scrapping was that now I can't see anything without wondering if I can scrap it or how much of it I can keep from the landfill. I had no idea how much value there is in almost everything. I have started taking my minivan to work because I can load it up and scrap when I am bored on night shifts. That was something that was spent with games before so at least now it is a productive addiction that is occupying my time.
Anyhow, this is my journey. To learn about scrap, scrapping and scrappiness. I want to be scraptastic and I welcome anyone else to come on the journey with me. Perhaps you will catch a bit of the bug as well.
