Since I have staked 1 EMFOUR and get no ENG mined so far, I dig out this post and study:
Steem-Engine: Mining Enabled for ENG tokens
According to it, you just buy EM or EMFOUR and take them all up then you are set to start mining ENG tokens 24/7.
How many ENG tokens are there? 100k ENG per year.
So, if all EM/EMFOUR tokens (10,000 and 1,000 respectively, for now) are sold and staked, then you may expect to mine so many ENG tokens per day:
- per EM: 100,000/365/(1,000*4+10,000) = 0.0196 (roughly 51 days for mining 1 ENG)
- per EMFOUR: 0.0196*4 = 0.0783 (roughly 13 days for mining 1 ENG)
If you take account of current prices, the ROI isn't too impressive. Looking at the bright side: 1) the price of ENG can go up, and 2) not all EM/EMFOUR tokens will be sold or staked; but at the same time: 1) the price can go down and 2) there is no promise to limit the quantity of EM tokens in the future.
看官們，昨天我匆匆就決定買入EMFOUR來挖礦了，至今一礦未得，村長那顆礦，我估計是剛開始競爭太少挖到的~~~ 於是我去找出原始文章，讀了之後，做了點算數，各位可以看上面的式子，兩個數字是預估完全售完開挖之後的預期值，老實說，蠻低的～～ 可以期待的，或許是沒賣完，所以挖的競爭低一些，或是ENG會漲價之類的，因為以後Steem-Engine的服務會改用Stake ENG來收費... 不過，挖礦幣是否增發等等不確定因素，也是要考慮的...
以目前來看，我建議有興趣的人可以先觀望一下，說不定很快會有失望性賣壓出現，到時可以撿便宜買，我似乎是買早了...
