Today's submission is a quirky little organ "fugue" by the American composer Gary Bachlund. I use the quotations as the Little Fugue in C major from Bachlund's 24 Little Fugues does not develop the way a traditional fugue does. It does develop a single rhythmic motive over time, but without the traditional exposition and episodic structure I am so used to hearing from fugues. This being said, it is a wonderful exploration of the motive over the course of three minutes. And it is a lot of fun to play. Bachlund's organ music can be found at:
