To speak of Block Chain is to speak of decentralization, and this word certainly does not suit most states, which often seek ways to limit its use by acting under excuses such as:
- Crypto currencies lend themselves to money laundering or to supporting terrorism.
- Without a legal framework, crypto coins are not safe.
- KYC is needed so that transactions can necessarily be between people.
And an endless number of phrases that in the end only express the need for governments to have control of everything. As well as taking their part in transactions in which they have nothing to do.
They do not fully understand that this absolute control over the economy is what has led to the current lack of control of finance with its already archaic model and which has proved incapable of responding to the needs of all.
Under a context of crisis was created Bitcoin, the blockchain and the rest of the crypto currencies that have emerged from it.
The fact that transactions do not need intermediaries leaves the banks practically out of the game, without the possibility of also handling people's money at their whim for their own benefit, much less giving them the option of charging their high interest rates.
A legal framework is always a need, and through this control (even if the word they frequently use is "Regular").
I am a Venezuelan who left his country in search of improvement, like many of us who have left. I have been fortunate, I cannot deny it. For which I am grateful.
I established the first contact with crypto coins in 2017 with the Boom del Bitcoin, however in Venezuela anyone who even knew that I worked or had contact with crypto coins was a victim of the security forces who would be able to even ask you for some monthly money for not taking you prisoner for being dedicated to an illegal activity.
At some point some acquaintances came to acquire BTC mines and put them to work, but some were confiscated, discovered by the high consumption of electricity they generate, and could not make any claims, unless they reach an agreement with the chief of police and will pay him something monthly or biweekly, is regrettable, but it is the reality that I saw and lived in my country.
I currently live in Bogota, Colombia's capital, and there is no doubt that the vision and perspective is different. It is a state in general much more open to the use of crypto coins and blockchain. For example, Craig Wright was recently recognized by the city council as Satoshi Nakamoto (whether or not he is really the creator of BTC, is still under discussion), however, gives a vision of the acceptance of this type of technology.
It can also be seen in different parts of the local city that accept BTC payments.

The cryptomoneda Coffe... has recently been created and launched on the market with the intention of deepening the coffee sector and making use of this decentralized technology to acquire goods (tractors, trucks, among others) and could even buy tokens and pay for them with coffee. It can also be seen in the exchange platform Localbitcoin that there is a large movement of both buying and selling, some users express quite explicitly that if they want to buy or sell Bitcoin personally can do so in their physical store.
However, it is obvious to think that not everything is rosy and that there are those who are against this new financial scheme. Last year (2018) a bill for regulation was launched, however there has not yet been anything definitive. Part of what they enunciated within this bill is:
It seeks to define the crypto currencies as an asset of virtual character, representing a registered value, in an electronic way. It offers greater legal security, as it recognizes that any person may use virtual currencies as a form of payment for any type of legal act, expressly permitting their use and commercialization, except for entities supervised by the Superintendence of Finance. In spite of all this, I can say by my own experience that the majority of the population knows no other cryptomedas than Bitcoin, they only say "it's very expensive", but something else they don't know.
A platform like Steemit is totally unknown to the general population. Much less do they know about Blockchain and the possibilities it offers as an open book, and that it would allow the high rate of corruption and misappropriation of public funds to decrease, thanks to the fact that it would be possible with the use of Blockchain to expose it.
As a personal opinion, I don't think there is much real interest on the part of the politicians who have the power to make all this information reach from the lowest to the highest classes.
I would like to close this publication by giving a telling example of the use of crypto coins and blockchain and how it can be used for the benefit of a country in various sectors, in this particular case:
- Tourism sector.
- Cultural sector.

It is a manifestation of the freedom there is in that country around the issue of crypto coins and how it can benefit many, the country in general. (Let this be an example).
Well, with this example I conclude, giving a sample of how much the world of blockchain has to offer, of cryptomonedas, as long as the state (government) does not limit its use, sees all the potential that it has implicit in itself, and sees it only as a tool for growth, which should be highlighted has been a true technological revolution and I would dare say financial.
