Hello Hivers! I'm Rica and I go by the brand name Sassy Cebuana. How did I came up with that name? Well, it wasn't really easy. I have been blogging for 10 years now using a blogger platform. It was my love for fashion that pushed me to create a small space on the blogosphere. I have to do google and study on how to build a website on my own. It wasn't easy but since I major in Computer Technology I have a little advantage of knowing the HTML codes to be used. I have build my website from scratch and through trial and error. My first blog name was What Akirah Thinks that you can still found in WordPress and then when I became a mom 3 years after, it changed to Sweet Baby Doll in Blogger.com. It's a work in progress, until I finally settled with Sassy Cebuana. As Sassy as I can be, and being a Cebuana (woman born in Cebu) that best describes me.
As I mentioned, I started blogging through my love for fashion. So what I first posted on my blog was my outfit of the day (OOTD's) or outfit ideas that I wish to wear. Through that, several clothing brands had pitched me to review some of their products in exchange of free clothes/products from their company that I wanted to wear. To name some, Zaful, Sammy dress, sheinside (shein), Zalora and a lot more. I was beyond happy and excited to blog even more that time. But then, I became a mom. I became insecure and my self-esteem went down the drain that I don't want taking photos of myself. I almost gave up blogging but seeing my daughter motivates me to write my journey as a single mom. I then realize that from focusing to fashion why not make it a lifestyle blog?
So my journey as a blogger continues. It was a roller coaster ride since it came to a point that you can't write anything. I know you feel me. I became MIA on my blog for long and then get back until I have something to write. That's why I am so excited to be part of the Hive Team since you don't need to keep on pressuring yourself on what to write because you can still earn without trying to come up with an article. It's like a finally found a HOME after all these years. A perfect community for all those who love sharing their passion to the world.
I can't wait to share to you guys some of my Fashion Tips and Finds, my fitness journey, my journey of being a single mom, My love for traveling, love advices and of course anything under the sun that will inspire you more to read my blog.
