There are some things that we must do in life which invite discomfort...
but in the end they are going to reap results that we highly value.
If we choose to continue to delay that discomfort and indulge in comfort only by making easy decisions then this could easily turn into experiencing difficulties that we might not want to endure.
Self discipline can be a trying habit to improve upon, it takes practice and determination.
If you just wait until you feel like making the right decision you might never make it, perhaps those feelings want to stay in a familiar territory and bask in the comfort that is the known rather than face the unknown.
With any worthwhile endeavor there are many things that must be sacrificed, things that we might want in the moment only to sew a seed that perhaps we might reap a greater reward down the road. But this takes patience and determination, there isn't going to be any instant gratification. Who wants to willingly welcome discomfort? It's understandable why self discipline might be rare in terms of those who are highly motivated and who excel in this area.
This is what we see with many great individuals though who have accomplished much in their lifetime, it took sacrifice and determination whether it came to winning awards and status in the arena of sports, music, school, or in a career for example. Self discipline is what got those individuals to where they needed to be and perhaps this is why there are many highly celebrated motivation coaches to be found around the world today, people can greatly lack the effort themselves and need an extra push from a mentor, trainer, or external source to get them moving forward on the right track.
There is more than why reason why an individual might want to embrace the easy decisions, but this could lead to ruin and to circumstances that we don't wish for but that we invested in along the way of putting off what needed to be done. If we are waiting for the right moment to come along and to always feel motivated to do something we value, for a later return, that isn't going to get the job done. It takes something more, improving upon self discipline, to achieve great goals that we might want to see realized.
