Catharanthus roseus is the original name of a simple plant well known in the gardens with several popular names, among them: Dominica, Violeta Blanca, Teresita, Bígaro, Micaria, Vinca from Madagascar, Vinca Rosa, Vinca del Cabo, Putica and Vicaria.
