Sometimes I seriously wonder how some women get out of college with a degree. I guess I don't have to think to hard about it considering what they say never seems to add up logically. That's exactly what happened this week when Jennifer Eckhart, a production assistant for Ed Henry who use to work for Fox News claimed in an interview she was paralyzed by fear working there.
Eckhart claimed that she was raped by Henry after getting stars in her eyes when he started following her on twitter.
"As a 24-year-old girl, when the chief White House correspondent follows you on Twitter, you, you know, you get stars in your eyes," she said.
Stars she said quickly faded after being sadistically raped by Mr Henry which left her injured, bruised and battered.
But Eckhart said those stars quickly faded. In the lawsuit, she accuses Henry of "violently" raping her while she was "helpless and restrained in metal handcuffs" and performing "sadistic acts on her … that left her injured, bruised and battered with bloody wrists."
After suffering such a devastating experience she has enough evidence of bodily fluids to not only file criminal charges but to launch a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the company but instead she goes to say the reason she didn't was because:
"I felt that he had the power to derail me, to destroy me, to ruin my career. And, I just, I didn't have a voice until now," she said.
See what I mean about that college degree....who needs a voice when you have evidence splattered all over your body. I mean really folks I hardly doubt being a production assistant would pay anywhere near the millions she'd gotten in a lawsuit over the course of her career. I mean taking down the chief white house correspondent has to come with a hefty price tag attached to it and if done on a none disclosure agreement probably even heftier yet.
She continues on...
Eckhart alleges Henry asked her to be his "sex slave" and "threatened punishment and retaliation" if she didn't comply.
Henry never asked her to be his sex slave. When you ask someone that implies you are allowing them to answer yes or no. You don't get to word it two ways, it's either yes or no or as stated in the later part of her statement you will be or else.
At this point most women logically would call it quits, no jobs worth all that, you claim you've been violently raped and ordered to be a sex slave....then go on to claim you were raped two more times, once in a guest office at Fox corporate headquarters and another time in a hotel room. Rape is by force...how did he forcibly get her into that guest office unnoticed and I am sure he didn't carry her kicking and screaming into the hotel room.
Eckhart goes on to say:
Asked if there was ever a time at Fox that she felt safe, Eckhart said, "I think it's safe to say that I was paralyzed by fear when I was working there. ... I don't know how you could continue to cultivate and foster an environment that rewards sexual predators consistently year after year."
I think that's a fair assessment to ask about except she is asking the wrong person, like Gretchen Carlson said "I know I shouldn't have engaged in the culture at Fox News" so shouldn't have Ms Eckhart. Neither one of them are willing to step up to the culpability they played, they in the true essence of the word are sexual predators themselves, they pick and choose who they prey upon depending upon what that person can do for them. Never mind he's married and has kids I am going to prey for pay, it's really that simple. The really sad part is that once they get put out to pasture, as in Gretchen's case or stardom never materialized as with Eckhart's, these saps think they are owed millions playing for pay no matter how foolish they look trying to explain themselves. Like I've said before, it takes two to tangle so I won't be holding my breath waiting for them to apologize. They are a disservice to all the hard working women of this world.
