I just wanted to give my opinion of using Jaxx wallet with shapeshift feature to swap your cryptocurrency.
Today I have been following LTC and its current rise due to Segwit that is due to hit in around 1.5 hours.
With all of the problems with exchanges in the last few days, I had been told that using Shapeshift would be a much faster way of converting funds.
We had a large dip in Litecoin about an hour and a half ago so I decided to buy on that, but instead of using these exchanges, I shapeshifted it using Jaxx from ETH to LTC.
It is now around 1.5 hours later, my ETH is gone, it is approx 300 conformations and there is nothing in my litecoin wallet on Jaxx.
The price has now risen again and not only do I NOT have ETH, but I do not have the extra LTC either.
What are the benefits of using Cryptocurrency when it takes as long to transfer funds over the blockchain, as it does in a real world bank?
How are we meant to benefit from this early adoption when nearly all exchanges and MAJOR wallets are holding our money until it works for them?
I would highly suggest to not use Jaxx wallet (as much as I love it) for transactions that you need completed in a few hours.
Litecoin will possibly be down to $5 before I even have access to my coins. that is a very bad service.
I will look for better alternatives and get back to you guys!
