The first mistake was checking my notifications icon for that big blue number here on Busy.org. My intention was to reply to those comments ASAP.
The second mistake was clicking on my feed. I never intend to get lost in there for any longer than I set myself up for. Most of the time, that plan backfires. Distractions upon walking in the door are many.
If I want to create a post, I need to do it right. now.
I can't lecture you. You have no reason to really listen to me anyway.
I'm just a plankton on this here platform. I engage in lively discussion. I reply to comments most of the time. And I've been writing for a lot of years. I just don't ship regularly and that's been part of my problem.
I can't sit here and write some EPIC post on shipping, writing daily and "making it happen" because, quite frankly, I haven't made it happen.
It's not a secret. I'm not proud of it, but it's not a secret.
I'm not paying to play.
I've mentioned that in a few comments. There really isn't a good reason to.
Steemit will have its purpose in the world sphere of things one way or another and I trust that purpose to work itself out. I trust it to work itself out and reveal it to me in due time. And I'll be OK with it, whatever that purpose is.
Don't be married to the platform.
I read a lot of articles on Medium.com today. One author in particular held my attention for a good chunk of the day. One of the things he pointed out was not to be too stuck on the platform. A platform will be good for you and then it won't be. Platforms come and go over time.
But if you're regularly producing, contributing, creating, will it matter which platform you're on?
It does and it doesn't.
Steemit is still growing. That's OK. It's the first time that I've ever been given crypto just for contributing!
My third mistake was grabbing cookies for dinner.
Sheeeeeesh, when I will learn?
My health is more important than posting. Posting is more important than cookies.
I should write that out by hand 100 times just to teach myself a lesson....
The only good to come out of this?
I got a post done. Some might call it a "shit post" buuuuttt I have a metal railing out back covered in bird poop. That my friends, gives a whole new meaning to "shit post."
