The 1967 Canada running bobcat quarter commemorates 100 years for Canada.
This picture didn't come out the best, these coins look much better then the picture shows. They are so shiny it was hard to get a good picture of them.
I got a good deal on these, I needed to add some items to my order so I could get free shipping. These were $2 off the normal price so after adding them to my order, I think it was maybe $3 more then what the bill would have been on it's own with the shipping charges added on.
I think all the coins that Canada used in 1967 had a commemorative design but these two quartes are the only pieces of the set I have. They were all minted with a mix of silver and copper and they were meant for circulation.
The obverse side features a shiny finish with a very young looking Queen Elizabeth II in the center. There is a line of dots encircling close the edge of the coin. There are Names on both sides, to the left is ELIZABETH II and on the right is D G REGINA.
The Reverse side features a lynx moving in stride towards the left accross the center of the coin. It has the same outer rim dots as the obverse side and the inscription on the top is 25 CENTS, and the bottom is CANADA 1867 1967.
