Timing is key for effective nighttime skincare:
Coming Home in the Afternoon: When you get home from school, work, or exercise, wash your face with a cleanser suitable for your skin type to remove oil, dirt, sweat, and makeup. Optionally, you can apply a moisturizer suited for your skin. At this point, you don't need to do your full PM skincare routine.
Before Bedtime: If bedtime is much later, cleanse your face again just before sleep to remove any remaining impurities. Then follow with your usual nighttime skincare routine, following the instructions for each product.
The Next Morning: Cleanse your face to remove any leftover skincare products, as well as oil or sweat from the night.
