|How does the LOGI CHAIN ecosystem work?
A physical logistical unit ( container, parcel, product, ...) is mirrored as a virtual product (chip) on Blockchain infrastructure. The virtual chip is available for minimal costs to every user. Various documents and attributes can be linked to the chip and made accessible to relevant parties in the process (customs, freight forwarder, contractor, shipper, buyer, warehouse workers).
Some documents are open to the public and can be seen by everyone on a public Blockchain like Ethereum. Other, more sensitive and private documents will require a permissive Blockchain infrastructure such as Fabric or Corda. The different parties in the shipping process will access the documents through an open source reader.
This ecosystem will generate considerable efficiencies such as reduced costs, less shipping delays and a reduction in CO2 by eliminating paper & emails that are not integrated. Ultimately though, it will create the autonomous shipping parcel that is invoiced automatically through smart contracts and payed in crypto currencies. Last but not least, it
will enable to take action when a problem occurs in the supply chain process, as information is available in real time to relevant parties.
To build and fuel this open source ecosystem, a utility token is created under the name LOGI token. All transactions made in the LOGI CHAIN will be paid in LOGI tokens. There is a finite amount of 100 M LOGI tokens created and only a small part of them (20%) will be released during the ICO process, funding the first 2 years of costs for the development of the ecosystem with USD 4 M. The independent foundation board based in Zug, Switzerland will be the sentinel of the LOGI token and the LOGI CHAIN economics. We expect the LOGI token to appreciate over time since more and more players will enter the ecosystem and the coin amount is limited. The LOGI token will be THE reference payment currency to process a shipment efficiently worldwide.
