Hello everyone,

our latest update: Bidding for Votes at Smartsteem.com just got a whole lot smarter was very well received by many users.

The amount of bids went so so high, that there was even a time, when the next round of bids, after the current round got overbidden, which wasn't saved by our ROI-Loss limit - since we weren't prepared for that case.

Now, we've refunded the specific users of course, as the ROI went deep into -30%.

Protection from Overbidding - Update

And to prevent this from happening again, we've implemented a hot-fix recently, which will prevent overbidding in any round.

In the image above you're seeing a lot of bids for the current round and a single bid with the text Next Round in front of it. Adding the bid to the current round would have brought the ROI way down into the negative, so that's why it was added to the next round.

However, if the next-round would be full as well, the user would get a refund with a message like this:

The next round limit has been reached. To protect you from too much waiting time (2-4 hours) - your transfer got refunded. Please take a look at https://smartsteem.com/bid for the right time to bid and/or use https://smartsteem.com/buy. Thank you.

Adding that bid to the round after the next - would create a delay of at least 2-4 hours, which is too much in our eyes. But what do you think about that?
