¿Se acuerdan cuando les conté mi experiencia con el OnePlus Watch 2? Bueno, pues ahora el OnePlus Watch 2 se pone un poco mejor.
El otro día leía la noticia de que Google Assistant decía adiós, para dar paso a Google Gemini en los smartwatches con WearOS, y para mi sorpresa esto pasó en mi OnePlus Watch 2.

Así es, mi pequeño relojito, ese que ya les había presumido por su batería y fluidez, ahora se pone la camiseta de la inteligencia artificial de Google. Y no es cualquier cosa, yo mismo estoy sorprendido de lo que Gemini puede hacer y que ahora es más que un asistente tonto, ahora es una IA generativa de lenguaje fluido, y una interacción que va mucho más allá del "pon una alarma".
Imagina estás en la calle, ves un anuncio y surge una pregunta sobre ese producto anunciado, necesitas saber más, alguna opinión o guía, o definir un concepto, ahí es donde Gemini brilla, ya que Assistant, si bien era funcional, Gemini funciona a otro nivel, le puedes preguntar lo que quieras, de forma más natural, y él te va a responder como si tuvieras a un genio de la lámpara en la muñeca, que se es una tontería, pero a veces sacar el teléfono para cosas tan simples es una tontería.
La verdad es que estoy sorprendido de las posibilidades, el OnePlus Watch 2 ya me gustaba mucho, pero creo que ahora con Gemini, siento que ahora es un poco más que un espejo de notificaciones que da la hora, se siente un dispositivo un poco más independiente, mejor y más rápido.
Creo que Google está apostando fuerte por llevar su IA a todos lados, y que mejor que empezar por algo tan personal y de uso diario como un smartwatch, y lo mejor es que esta actualización, también llego con una actualización general del reloj, así que este reloj, aún tiene mucha vida.
Así que si buscas un buen reloj para Android, no puedo dejar de recomendar el OnePlus Watch 2 o el OnePlus Watch 3, ahora más listo y más útil.

The other day I read the news that Google Assistant was saying goodbye, making way for Google Gemini on WearOS smartwatches, and to my surprise, this happened on my OnePlus Watch 2.

That's right, my little watch, the one I'd already boasted about for its battery life and fluidity, is now donning the Google AI jersey. And it's no small feat; I'm amazed at what Gemini can do. It's now more than just a silly assistant; it's now a generative AI with fluid language, and an interaction that goes far beyond "set an alarm."
Imagine you're on the street, you see an ad, and a question arises about the advertised product. You need to know more, find an opinion or guide, or define a concept. That's where Gemini shines. While Assistant was functional, Gemini works on a different level. You can ask it anything, more naturally, and it will respond as if you had a genie on your wrist. I know it's silly, but sometimes taking out your phone for such simple things is silly.
The truth is, I'm surprised by the possibilities. I already really liked the OnePlus Watch 2, but I think now with Gemini, I feel like it's a little more than a notification mirror that tells the time. It feels like a slightly more independent, better, and faster device.
I think Google is betting heavily on bringing its AI everywhere, and what better way to start than with something as personal and used daily as a smartwatch. And the best thing is that this update also comes with a general update to the watch, so this watch still has a lot of life left in it.
So if you're looking for a good Android watch, I can't recommend the smarter and more useful OnePlus Watch 2 or the OnePlus Watch 3 enough.
