We are already in the month of May. Children are no longer in schools but learning and education certainly do not stop there.
I would like to share the learning modules I made for the Flores de Mayo Summer Catechesis. This module is designed to help the young catechists teach the children about the doctrines, morale and values of the Catholic Faith. It includes learning objectives that serves as a learning goal, suggested activities that motivate and engage the learners, catechesis proper which is explained clearly and simply for the children, assessment questions to check students’ learning, application task that enables the children learn authentically and homeworks which challenges the children to learn further.
If in case you missed the previous module, here it is:

Module 2: Knowing Mary, the Mother of God!
Learning Objectives:
- to know Mary, the mother of God.
- to honor and emulate Mary through her values.
- to be like Mary
Opening Prayer
Suggested Activity
Beginner and Intemediate (Grade 1-6). Ask the following questions to the children. And let them share their answers with a group about 4-5 members.
- What is the name of your mother?
- What are the good things that she has done to you?
Say: Our mothers have done so many good things to us. One of the greatest sacrifices they have done is giving birth to us. Here is a sample of a good song that tells us how our mothers love us. Let us stand and acknowledge this unconditional love from our mothers!
Say: Indeed our mothers love us so much. They cook for us, play with us and read us stories. Just like us, Jesus has a very good mother and she is called as Mary,
